Fall 2019 |
Robert Greene Web Design internship

I spent the Fall 2019 semester partaking in a Web Design Internship with the goal of re-imagining Connecticut artist Robert Greene’s portfolio website. Greene, a renowned sculpture artist, requested I build him a website that he could easily edit himself after the completion of my Internship. I decided the best way to make editing the website more accessible to him was to create it with an online Website Builder. We settled on building the site with Squarespace, as it allows for enough customization without becoming overwhelming, and has a reasonable pricing model. This way, the artist doesn’t have to learn basic HTML or contact a professional every time he wants to make changes or additions to his portfolio.

The artist wanted his website to have a simple, minimalist design, with focus placed primarily on high resolution photos of his work. Because the artist has shown in a number of Galleries, and has had work featured in a number of prominent Design and News publications, I suggested we add a page dedicated to Press features.
